Why Do You Need a Clinical Negligence Solicitor?

If you're suffering, perhaps due to a botched operation, or a medical professional getting something wrong, then you might be entitled to make a claim for compensation.

Here's what you need to know.

1. Clinical Negligence can be thought of as medical professionals making a mistake, or getting it wrong. Although we all make mistakes, errors of judgement in the operating theatre can have disastrous consequences.

2. If you've suffered because of medical treatment, or perhaps something was or wasn't diagnosed when it should or shouldn't have been, then you might be able to claim for it. Perhaps your doctor missed that your child had a huge tumour, or said that you had cancer when you didn't.

3. As well as the physical suffering, there is psychological suffering too. Maybe you're afraid of hospitals now, or dread taking your children to see the doctor.

4. It is reassuring to know that nearly all medical procedures do go according to plan. Clinical negligence is very rare, and so it's highly unlikely you will ever need the services of a clinical negligence solicitor. However, if you do need one, you'll want to make sure that you get one that can help you get the compensation you're entitled to.

5. You might have suffered additional losses, or had to take more time off work or needed additional medication or physiotherapy treatment. You might be able to claim for this too.

6. If you didn't get the care you needed in hospital, or your GP wasn't very helpful and missed that you or your child had a serious condition, then you'll want this behaviour to be made known, so that other don't have to go through what you went through. As well as claiming compensation for injuries and suffering, you'll want to know that the people responsible are being taken to task.

7. It's not just surgeons and GPS that might be facing a clinical negligence claim, dentists are also affected too. If you've had poor dental work, or unnecessary treatment, then you might have a case.

8. You might have had bad chiropody work, which has meant that you can't walk properly, and so can't go to work. You'll be pleased to know that you might be able to make a claim.

9. Perhaps you've been given the wrong prescription from your opticians, and it's caused your vision to suffer, or maybe a problem with your eyes wasn't detected when it should have been.

10. If any of these situations sound familiar to you, then you'll want to get the right legal advice in order to see if you can make a claim.
